A regional outlet publishes several stories a day, so the front page cannot depend on someone assembling it by hand.
We designed a front page that organises itself by hierarchy: top stories, territorial sections — Popayán, Cauca, National — plus opinion, trending and most-read blocks. The team just publishes and the site decides where everything goes.
We optimised loading for slow connections, which is the reality for much of the regional audience, and left the structure ready to rank each story in search.
